It has been so much fun curating an assortment of designers and products for Hazel & Rose, but what's even more rewarding is seeing individuals react to it. I built Hazel & Rose with the intent to educate and share what ethical and sustainable fashion is, and watching people discover the store and engage with the product and ask questions about the designers is allowing me to do just that.
I have also enjoyed meeting more passionate individuals in the community. I've never doubted the amount of talent in this city - it's one of the many reasons why I'm so in love with Minneapolis - but it is truly fantastic to meet fellow small business owners, brand experts, photographers, and designers since Hazel & Rose has opened. I've already had the good fortune of collaborating with some, and look forward to more collaborative projects in the future.
As you've likely guessed, the work is far from over for Hazel & Rose. The physical space is open for business, but the online shop is still in progress. Final product shots are being edited, copy is being finalized, and Hazel & Rose will soon be available to conscious shoppers everywhere.
Additionally, a grand opening event is on the horizon, as well as more local events to continue to support and engage the community.
In the meantime, I can't wait to meet more of you.
