Museo is where art history and modern living meet. Clothing you can breathe in, you can live in. It’s for celebrations and every day of your life. I get elemental with it; earth textures like the nubbiest linen and wool in shades found on the mossy rocks of the Oregon Coast, or in the clearest California sky. Gestural and organic shapes inspired by desert mesa’s or the perfect roundness of an egg. Crisp cottons that remind you of the comforting coolness of your grandmother’s vintage sheets.

Museo began as a passion project by, Jessica Comfort, as a way to marry vintage and sustainable materials with modern design. Every piece is constructed from organic, dead stock, vintage, or reclaimed materials. Even, and perhaps most especially, when they are flawed. She lets the materials tell their own story, leaving rust marks and foxing as nature’s time signature. It’s just another form of natural dye, right?

Jessica leans into the slow in slow fashion. Collections are released seasonally but many best loved silhouettes may carry over from year to year, reinvented with new fabrics and trims. She may get 2 yards of something glorious and make a one off. She may brew up a batch of madder root or indigo dye and dip a few things for a limited edition run. She may release a new product mid season. Each piece is sewn by Jessica or another seamstress in Oregon.
