After experiencing burn trauma, our founder, Shani, discovered the transformative power of the desert—most importantly from Rock Rose, a resilient desert shrub that reemerges stronger after wildfire. In this harsh landscape, where plants don't just survive but thrive, Shani found that both inner and outer vibrancy could be restored. This experience sparked the creation of Ayond, where desert self-care rituals lead to transformative levels of vitality and vibrancy, no matter your life stage.

Our fragrances are made using 100% natural origin ingredients, organic sugarcane alcohol and follow international natural origin standard ISO 16128 which quantify ingredient naturalness by origin, processing, and extraction method. We are 100% petroleum and phthalate free.

Shani van Breukelen is an African American and Dutch fashion alumni from Central Saint Martins and Porter Yates, born in Santa Fe, NM studied mechanical engineering with a focus in sustainability. The pair founded AYOND in 2018.
