These pieces are lovingly dyed by hand in our backyard studio. Every element from the temperature that day, to the way the wind is blowing, affects the way they come out. It's a truly magical and collaborative process.

Actual colors and patterns will vary. Mira uses the same dye method on all these pieces but each one ends up distinct from the next. Colors may vary slightly also due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colors and that everyone sees these colors differently.

Mira Blackman began dyeing as a way to personalize clothing for babies. Eventually her friends and family wanted hand-dyed pieces too so she started making more to sell. Mira is happy to be working with local mills & manufacturers to produce high-quality organic fabrics & silhouettes that they hand dye themselves. Every element from the temperature that day, to the way the wind is blowing, contributes to the way these pieces come to life.
