We frequently are asked about the ceramic candles' food and dishwasher safety — and we're always happy to share that the glaze we use is optimized for both. Below, we've outlined a few tips to prep your vessel for a new life...plus, shared a few of our favorite ways to repurpose the Norden 12 Oz. Ceramic Candle.

How to repurpose your vessel

1. Once you've burned your candle through, place the vessel in the freezer. The cold temperature will help you easily remove the excess wax left at the bottom of the vessel. 

2. With pliers, a scraping tool, or your fingers, remove the metal wick tab and sticker at the bottom of the cup.

3. Wash thoroughly with hot water and soap. To ensure that no fragrance is left behind, run through the dishwasher (if available). 

4. Fill with your favorite beverage.
