DIRECTIONS

What are the main differences between the two face oils effect-wise?
Illumine: brightening (helps with dark spots and to even skin tone), hydrating, potent ingredients actively work to target fine lines/wrinkles and skin texture, hydrates skin.
Serene: gentle, soothing, balancing, moisturizing, essential oil-free (great for sensitive or acne prone skin, pregnant or nursing mothers).
When is the best time to use Illumine?
Illumine can be used morning or evening and does not contain any ingredients that should make your skin sensitive to sun exposure. Since it’s a slightly heavier oil compared to Serene, we definitely recommend adding it to your evening skincare regimen, so you can let all that anti-aging goodness soak in overnight.
Which one goes first: face oil or moisturizer?
We recommend applying face oil after moisturizer. Since most moisturizers are water-based, oils can penetrate most moisturizers, but not the other way around.
Is Illumine a replacement for moisturizer?
Illumine can definitely work as a standalone moisturizer, but it depends on a variety of factors (e.g. your skin type, the climate where you live, the time of year). If you feel like your skin needs some extra moisturization, then we recommend first applying a layer of moisturizer and follow with the face oil.
Can I layer Illumine with retinol or acids?
Absolutely! We recommend applying Illumine after your retinol/retinoid or acid.
Do you recommend using this before or after serums?
We recommend using our face oils after serums.
Is Illumine safe to use while pregnant?
While we personally believe that both our face oils are safe to use during pregnancy, everyone’s skin and body reacts differently, so we recommend first consulting with your doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy.
Are both the face oils non-comedogenic or just Serene?
Illumine is also formulated to be non-comedogenic (it has an overall low comedogenic rating of approximately 1-1.5 out of 5).
How long does one bottle last?
If you use both AM and PM, one bottle should last approximately 1-1.5 months. This can vary slightly from person to person though.
